Being a lady boss I often find prepping three healthy meals and staying on top of my diet can be a bit of a challenge.  Breakfast is one of the more difficult times of the day, as its easy for me to fill up on coffee and forget to have something in my tummy before lunchtime.

I rely on getting my greens and nutrients from a green smoothie. Its easy to make, easy to pack, and ensures I am having a healthy start to my morning.

Here is a recipe for my favorite green smoothie combo; its light, refreshing and detoxifies the system.

 

GreenJuice_Blog21 cup of kale

1  apple, sliced

½ cup of cilantro

1 mini cucumber or 1 celery stalk or both

1/2 lemon – squeezed

1 inch piece of ginger

1 tbsp chia seeds

optional (handful of blueberries)

Run all the ingredients through a high-speed blender. Pour into a tall glass and enjoy immediately.
